VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking to hire a full-time CNC Operator to join our growing manufacturing team. This role is an integral part of our production process, responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machinery to produce high-quality parts and components that meet precise specifications. The successful candidate will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and quality of machining operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. What You’ll Do

  • Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machinery and related equipment to produce components according to production drawings and specifications
  • Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, ensuring efficient setup and changeovers
  • Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and product quality
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications
  • Perform routine machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs
  • Collaborate with production supervisors, quality control, and engineering teams to resolve technical or production issues
  • Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Experience operating CNC machines (milling, routing, or turning); experience in wood, metal, or aluminum machining is an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Competence in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
  • 2+ years of experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar machining role (manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred)
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in machining or CNC operation is an asset
