VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Junior Service Technician to join our growing team. This entry-level role is essential in supporting the maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage door systems. The successful candidate will assist senior service technicians, learn to troubleshoot door-related issues, and help ensure safe and efficient service for our customers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in a hands-on, customer-focused trade environment.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with the maintenance, and repair of residential and commercial garage doors and related hardware
• Support senior technicians in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues with door systems
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and safety
• Help replace or repair components such as springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and openers
• Provide professional customer service, including clear communication and jobsite courtesy
• Maintain accurate work orders, service records, and basic parts tracking
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to support operational efficiency
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and worksite
• Learn and suggest service improvements as skills and experience develop

What You’ll Bring

• Interest in building a career as a garage door service technician (residential and commercial)
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn troubleshooting and repair techniques
• Basic knowledge of tools, hardware, and safe work practices (training provided)
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently when trained, and as part of a supportive service team
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications are an asset
