Yes. VDK offers a fully transferable lifetime warranty. The new owner must submit a Second Owner Certificate of Coverage to VDK Group within thirty days of transfer. See the warranty PDF for the certificate form and full terms.
Improper installation can void coverage. Products removed and reinstalled (except as part of timely maintenance), damage from installation that exceeds design standards, and work not performed by an authorized VDK representative may not be covered. Refer to your warranty document for full details.
VDK covers the cost of labor to remove and repair warranty parts for 2 years from installation, provided the work is performed by an authorized service technician and the claim falls within the applicable warranty period. After 2 years, service or maintenance fees are the homeowner's responsibility.
Coverage is void if the insulated glass unit has been abused, tampered with, cracked, broken, improperly installed, exposed to excessive heat causing thermal stress, or if tinting or privacy film has been applied to the glass surface.
Yes. Installing a storm door voids the warranty due to excessive heat buildup that can cause lite failure or peeling paint.
Unauthorized modifications, tinting, privacy films, or aftermarket coatings on glass or vinyl can void or limit warranty coverage. Contact VDK before modifying your product.
