VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Millwright to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure our manufacturing operations run safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically inclined individual who enjoys solving problems, minimizing downtime, and contributing to a high-performing production environment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns quickly to minimize production downtime.
  • Install, assemble, modify, and commission new machinery and production equipment.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear and potential failures.
  • Maintain saws, fabrication equipment, compressors, and other manufacturing machinery.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, manuals, and equipment schematics.
  • Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately.
  • Assist with facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and general building repairs as required.
  • Work closely with production teams to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company policies and applicable safety regulations.

What You'll Bring

  • Licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
  • Experience maintaining manufacturing or production equipment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and automated equipment.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting experience is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
  • Ability to prioritize work and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
