VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Licensed Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, production equipment, and facility infrastructure to minimize downtime and support efficient manufacturing operations.
What You'll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical equipment and control systems
- Diagnose electrical faults on production machinery and automated equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Install and service motors, drives, sensors, PLC components, and control panels
- Assist with new equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning
- Troubleshoot VFDs, pneumatic controls, and machine automation
- Ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and company safety standards
- Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately
- Work closely with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
- Participate in continuous improvement and preventative maintenance initiatives
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs as required
What You'll Bring
- Valid Ontario 309A or 442A Electrician Certificate of Qualification
- Industrial manufacturing maintenance experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and motor controls
- Experience reading electrical drawings and wiring diagrams
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment is considered an asset
- Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and electrical safety practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Willingness to work overtime or respond to emergency breakdowns when required
