VDK Group Inc. is currently seeking a full-time Architectural Glass Estimator for our Commercial Glazing division. In this role, you will prepare accurate takeoffs and detailed quotations for a variety of commercial glazing projects. You will work closely with suppliers, contractors, project coordinators, and production teams to develop competitive pricing and support projects from the tender stage through project handoff.

What You’ll Do

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, addenda, schedules, and tender documents.
• Prepare accurate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor takeoffs.
• Develop detailed quotations for curtain wall, storefront, aluminum entrances, windows, glass, and related glazing systems.
• Analyze project scope, design details, and installation requirements to ensure all costs and specifications are included.
• Obtain current pricing, product information, and lead times from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify exclusions, risks, scope gaps, and potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Complete and submit bids accurately within established tender deadlines.
• Communicate with general contractors, suppliers, project coordinators, and internal teams to clarify project requirements.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, pricing, and bid correspondence.
• Support the handoff of awarded projects to project management and coordination teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes, tools, and templates.

What You’ll Bring

• Experience in commercial glazing, construction estimating, aluminum fabrication, or a related construction field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, schedules, and project specifications.
• Knowledge of curtain wall, storefront, aluminum entrance, window, and glazing systems is an asset.
• Understanding of commercial construction practices, materials, installation methods, and building systems.
• Proficiency with estimating or takeoff software, such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar programs, is an asset.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet tender deadlines.
• A high level of organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
